  7.  "scion.datatype" is a datatype for use with databases created by Scion
  8.  Genealogist version 5 or later. Refer to the documentation supplied
  9.  with Scion Genealogist (available separately) for further information
  10.  about the programme.
  11.  
  12.  When used with Multiview (for example), "scion.datatype" will display
  13.  summary information about all the people in the database. For example,
  14.  each line will display something like -
  15.  
  16.       123 DOE, John °:4 Apr 1946 +:23 Jun 1996
  17.  
  18.  where: the number (123) is the IRN, ° means "born" and "+" means "died".
  19.  
  20.  If the birth date is absent, but there is a baptism date, then the baptism
  21.  date will be used instead and displayed as "º". For example -
  22.  
  23.       123 DOE, John º:5 Jun 1946 +:23 Jun 1996
  24.  
  25.  If the death date is absent, but there is a burial date, then the burial
  26.  date will be used instead and displayed as "±". For example -
  27.  
  28.       123 DOE, John °:4 Apr 1946 ±:29 Jun 1996

  30.  Month abbreviations will be localised if possible. If localisation in your
  31.  current language is not possible, months will be displayed in English.

  33.  "scion.datatype" will not display any details about families. If you want
  34.  this information, use the reporting features of Scion Genealogist itself!

  36.  For the technically inclined, "scion.datatype" is a sub-class of the
  37.  "text.datatype".

  39. REQUIREMENTS
  40. ------------
  41.  Kickstart/Workbench v3 (or later).
  42.  The "text.datatype" (© Commodore/Escom/Gateway/whoever).
  43.  Scion Genealogist v5 (or later) to create the databases!
